  1. This is the best game on the ds. Period. The 3D maps and the 2D gameplay make an excellent match. Tons of enemies are in there, too. Here's a cheat to get Luigi as a playable character. While you are selecting a file, hold down R and L. Then you can play as Luigi. I hope this helps.
  2. I loved playing the old Mario Brothers games on my old sysytems and now this is like playing them again only better because I can play where ever I am.
  3. This is the best game on the DS that I have ever played! So many new levels and worlds to unlock will keep you busy all day long. It's a load of fun and I can never stop playing it! My sister and I used to fight over it because we loved it SO much!

Customer Reviews

  1. I actually liked Super Mario Sunshine, so take this review for what it is worth.
This game is a true return to Mario 64 form, but with great new twists. Wild gravity, spherical worlds, and the novelty of shooting "star bits" make this game keep your attention for hours.
  2. This game is amazing. When I picked it up at the store, I got it hoping that this would finally be the Mario Game I have been waiting for: Exciting, Fun, and Original. This game is unque in every way. There is a different story line (though not really that far off), with many new bad guys as well as some old ones, and a startlingly huge world or I should say, galaxy to explore. There are tiny planets that take two seconds to walk around, as well as big ones that could take an hour to explore. I loved the colorful comical Mario that Nintendo has finally delivered.
  3. This game will challenge you just like Mario 64 did the first time you cracked open your Nintendo 64. The difference is that everything is smoother, more fun and more challenging. The graphics and levels are astonishing. The levels are imaginative and allow you to go truly 3-D all over the place. This game will give you your Mario fix and then some, especially if you choose to get all the stars and complete the entire game.

Customer Reviews

  1. Why did I rate this game as an overall 3 stars, yet give it 5 for fun?! It's because of a huge tragic flaw with the game, that turned what was a totally amazing game, into something you want to break after you get into it. The reason being... Hackers.

People who use cheats to have a total advantage against others for wifi playing are the ultimate low. You can't ignore them because it's so obvious they're cheating. They'll continuously throw blue shells at you, big you, or special you. It's annoying and because wifi has a point system it makes the game VERY unfair.

Besides that huge flaw, that ruins what I believe is the best part of the game, Mario Kart is endless fun. The graphics are amazing compared to the Nintendo 64, Gamecube, and especially the DS versions. I'm a huge Mario Kart fan, and this game is amazing.

NOTE: I wouldn't suggest using the wheel because it's just a handicap.

  2. Everyone in the family loves this game. It has different levels so even my youngest (age 6) can have a blast.

The graphics are very good, color is bright, choices for characters are fun, sound is adjustable.

We like using the wheel with the remote for better handling.

This is a great game for both young and old, boy or girl.
  3. Unlike some consoles where you have to shell up a monthly fee to play online, *Coughxboxlivecough*, Nintendo offers free online play which makes it worth it. You will make all your friends buy this, and meet up online for crazy games with mushrooms, and bombshells, and what not.

At $45, this was worth every penny. Check out merit line for spare wheels if you need them. It could be cheaper, but I'm guessing Nintendo is bankrolling their server infrastructure with the profits fro

  1. I'm not a lifelong gamer - the Wii is the first gaming system I've ever owned and I have a 6 year old and a 9 year old son. So I don't know about the long history of Mario games - I've certainly heard of Mario, but the Mario franchise is new to me. So I was a little nervous buying into the game - would I have to know all sorts of back story to play it? No, not a bit.

The game format is simple. Up to four players (living or computer) can play a board game in which you roll dice (the Wii remote), move around a board and play little 1 minute mini games to earn prizes. The goal is usually to collect Stars but how you do that changes from game to game. Games can last for 10-50 turns (a typical 10 turn game is about 30 minutes), and players can be handicapped (so I can let the kids start out with two extra stars and then play as well as I want to, as I try to beat them).

The mini games are pretty fun - everyone has their favorites and everyone has games that they hate. The mini games get picked at random, so you never know what you'll get. One thing I love is that you can practice a game before you play it for real. So when friends come over, they have a chance to see how the game is played before jumping in and getting their butts kicked by my kids (who have played many times). It's a great leveling field. The games are also designed to have a fair bit of randomness in them (a few of the games are completely luck). While there's skill, you can still see that luck plays a role and when you've got a 40-year old vs. a 6-year old that's a really good thing.

The game boards feature different game goals and scenes. The boys like the variety: ghosts in a spooky house, dolphins on the beachside, a space station. And you can make the computer players as smart or as dumb as you want, so there's a lot of room to create a game that everyone will enjoy. Also, while it's really great as a group game you can play alone - my 6 year old likes to practice by himself and will give himself a smart computer partner so that he can kick butt.

We've really enjoyed it and I've purchased it as a gift, too. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again - it's a keeper.
  2. We did not like this version as much as some of the older Mario parties.
  3. I like this game a lot.It can be played with several people. We play it when we have family game night. My 6 year old loves it

Customer Reviews

  1. I have played THE original version of Super Mario 64 (ok, not mine, a friend's copy) and I don't remember if the control was any better, but I remember it wasn't so hard to ground pound a frickin stake.

    What's new
-A slightly altered intro, and you start off as Yoshi, and unlock Mario, and optionally Luigi and Wario, with each having a special ability after gaining the power flower.
    -Improved Visuals
    -30 new stars
-Mini Games (not to mention a bunch of rabbits holding keys which allow you to unlock more)
    -New multiplayer "battle mode"

So the new stars add some value and a few minutes for grabbing rabbits.
So far I have logged around 23 hours and have 71 stars. The bad thing is that there are only 15 courses, but there are so many secret levels, stars, and areas, (infact in one case there is a whole NEW part to the level!) and the non-linearity give a great sense of freedom and the cart is loaded with secrets. Sometimes, the control can be a hassle, but Overall, a classic made portable, with 4 unique characters, amazingly clever puzzles, and being the best looking and LONGEST DS game yet, this is truly A MUST have version to get, whether you have the original or not.
  2. If you enjoyed the original, you'll enjoy this version. You get to use other characters with different abilities. It takes a little while to get used to the handling, but then so did the original. I guess I just expected really different levels as well...
  3. I didn't read much about this game, but I remember really liking the orginal Super Mario 64. When I started I was a little surprised to be playing Yoshi, but I've played through and I have to say, the changes are definitely good changes that make the game more fun and interesting. Having the different characters to play adds a new dynamic. Really enjoyed playing. Overall, great game!

  1. Mario Kart DS is pretty much the best DS game in the series, in terms of gameplay, content, graphics, and fun.

If you've played any past Mario Kart games, then you kind of know what to expect, but this game brings in all the glory of the older titles, and puts a whole new shine on it, as well as adding great new features.

There's tons of tracks, tons of karts to choose and unlock. We're talking hours and hours and hours of racing and unlocking.

There's also new weapons, like being able to turn into a Bullet Bill and shoot down the track knocking your foes right out of the way. There's also a squid power this time around that shoots black ink on your foes screen, blocking out their version for a short period of time.

All the old classic moves are back as well, like banana skins, red and green shells, etc etc. Great fun!

For the first time ever in a Mario Kart game, now you can go ONLINE and compete against players from all over the world with a wifi connection, OR get this...if you have the game, but your friends dont, up to 8 people locally can play the game using only ONE game pack!

Bottom line, if you're new to Mario Kart, or a veteran of the series, there's simply SOO much to love about this beautiful and amazingly fun game.

    10/10
  2. My son is loving this game. It's become his favorite and seems to have many different choices from characters to courses which make for great neverending fun.
  3. It is a fun game, but the shipping was bad. It took a long time, but eventually it came. It is fun to play.

  2. This game was awful! My seven year old had to have me read 20 minutes of dialogue boxes with words like "dimensionality", "Void" and "Minions" before the 1980s type game actually started. Actually, this is more like something that would have been exciting circa 1974. [...] We will never play this again!
  3. Not what I expect. Too much reading and actually I am not even sure how to play the game. I wasted about 10 min reading what they said before I can have my first move. Maybe someone needs to show me how to play or do I really need to buy a guide book??!!

  1. Product DescriptionThe newest chapter of the Paper Mario story isn’t just out of this world…it’s out of this dimension! What at first glance appears to be a 2-D sidescroller ripped straight from the stylized pages of the Paper Mario universe soon turns into a hilarious dimension-shifting platformer possible only on Wii! 2-D...AND 3-D! Run through vibrant 2-D worlds, stomping on enemies and breaking blocks....then, with the press of a button, flip into 3-D! In the 3rd dimension, you'll find hidden paths, battle foes, and uncover secrets as you explore the previously invisible depth of the 2-D landscapes! Unique Wii controls! Hold the Wii Remote sideways and control the game in classic Super Mario Bros. style! You can shake the Wii Remote to pull off stylish moves and break out of frigid ice and even point directly at the screen to get helpful hints from your sidekick. Not only that, but you'll also play as Peach and Bowser, both with their own sets of essential skills. Hilarious adventure! When a mysterious villain kidnaps Peach and Bowser and forces them to get married, their union creates a rift of dark energy that threatens to tear the universe apart! Hilarious characters, laugh-out-loud plot twists, and unforgettable dimensions await as Mario makes his way through eight worlds, each more memorable than the last!

  1. Product DescriptionYou'd think years of defeat would get to a guy, but Bowser just doesn't give up! He's captured Mario and his friends in his pursuit of a crystal that the group collected when it fell from the sky, and he doesn't hesitate to shrink them to miniature size to get rid of them and get his hands on the other four crystals. The mini-heroes have to find the crystals before he does, making their way through giant environments filled with enormous creatures. The single-player campaign takes place in five different settings, each of them ending with a boss. As usual, players have to collect coins and stars, at the same time escaping dangers such as Piranha Plants and other classic creatures from the Mario universe. As they progress through the game, players also can unlock various mini-games, such as Rail Riders, Sweet Sleuth and Goomba Wrangler! When players are tired of exploring the story mode, they can choose one of the other modes, like Puzzle and Minigame. Play with up to four friends on the DS' local Wi-Fi and let the party begin!
